About Founder

Dr. Svorcina is a Holder of the Dubai Health Authority and Croatian medical Chamber License which qualifies her to practice as a General practitioner in both Countries. Eight years of working experience gave her good insight into difference between healthcare systems in Europe and UAE as well as into the patient's needs.

“In 2017 I have moved to the UAE with my family due to my husband's work. It was certainly a challenge - moving from the place where you lived your whole life to a completely new country and completely different regulations, but, somehow, we worked it out.

It was when a family member needed medical treatment, I felt like a true alien. Back in my home country, I knew excellent doctors, but not here. We were like a medical tourist that came unprepared. I knew the diagnosis, I understood what should be the treatment, but the reliable doctor was one big challenge. If it was like that for us, I can only imagine how it is for someone with no medical background at all. Since then, I have started building my list of doctors that are doing their job right and in an ethical way.

While working as a General Practitioner in UAE, I wanted to help my patients the same way as I was able in Croatia. Send them to someone who is reliable, competent, and ethical. As time passed, as I have had more and more of my own patients, friends, people coming from my region asking for advice or referral, I found myself enjoying my job more and more as I was doing that extra mile for them. This is how Health Oasis was born even before it was established.

I imagine Health Oasis as a virtual clinic where we have employed only the best doctors available in each county we operate.
